´ej sikke lej´ was founded by Margit Egeskov and Marlene Eger Ullum in 2004.
"It all started one day when we came across some old needlework books with funny animal prints. We particularly noticed a print of an owl that we thought would be a funny sign to put on a children's t-shirt. Today it is this very owl that has become a part of the ´ej sikke lej´ logo. The red t-shirt with the owl print became a success, and new t-shirts with different owl prints have since arrived. The shirts have all strong colours, and have now become basic articles. The collection has been expanded with dresses, trousers, feeders, and underwear."
